Arheilger Muhlchen in Darmstadt

Our Arheilger gem, the mill. In my opinion the perfect mix of swimming pool and bathing lake. Admission is free, but a donation is requested for the maintenance of the facility. There are plenty of sun and shade spots on the lawn, as well as showers right by the water and near the changing room. A small kiosk serves ice cream, sweets and the classic pool snacks such as french fries, burgers and rolls at reasonable prices. The facility is in good shape, always clean and very safe thanks to the full-time staff with lifeguards. There is a toddler area and a sports field. It is usually open from 2 p.m. in good weather. There is a ban on photography on the site which is also enforced. So please take it into account.

This place is such a laid-back, genuinely relaxing place to swim. During Corona times, spots need to be reserved online. But we came on one of the hottest Saturdays of the summer and it was still so relaxing with not too many people. Lots of space to lay out, play games, etc. Will definitely be coming back :)

A great and affordable bathing experience. Enough space and great for the kids. The staff are nice, except for a "lifeguard" who was very pampy to us and came across slightly anti-social. Therefore, unfortunately, a star deduction.

A natural swimming pool with water from the stream. Nice, well-kept area. There is a separate children's area with a slide, a separate swimmer area with starting blocks, a diving platform and the whole lake for swimming. There are many trees and a small playground on the lawn. There is also a kiosk and clean snack facilities.

Low entry donation desired. Sufficient shade available. Kiosk has a good selection and good prices. Toilets clean. Changing clothes distributed on the premises. Water is green and not mine.

Great lake to cool off after work in the summer. The complex is very well maintained, the entrance on donation basis, you always get a parking space and it is never really crowded. The water is a bit green but otherwise very clean.

Great swimming pool with pleasant ambience. Voluntary admission but you also like to pay something. Natural bath would be worth mentioning, is not for everyone. Kiosk, changing room, shower, diving tower (unfortunately only 1 m / 3 m I have not seen years open) Non-swimming pool, water slide, baby pool ... I like it there and I can only recommend it!

A great spot. Not too crowded and natural lake. There are enough parking spaces, changing rooms, toilets and even a kiosk.

In summer, a great little lake. Already very overgrown with algae in late summer. For free and with a very humorous speaker announcement. And there are chips that you want more in the summer.

Very nice location that I got to know thanks to the Golden Leaves Festival 2017. There is a lot of meadow around the water that invites you to linger and relax.
